Hi ! How are you ?

Make : Moikkis ! ! I am fine. Waiting for the band rehearsals. It’s our long tradition to have rehearsals during the weekends.
Can you introduce yourself and Roadside Story?

Make : Yes. I am MAke from a finnish rock band, Roadside Story, and my role in the band is to sing

the lead vocals and play the guitar. My brother, Jukkis, is the drummer and he does backing vocals also. Third member is our bass player Markus.
How and why have you chosen this name?

Make : We found “Roadside Story” to be the best name for us, cause it is has lots of different meanings, and lil’ bit of symbolism. “The story begins on the road” is something many people can relate to.
Why have you decided to create a rock band?

Make : From our point of view there are not enough new rock bands nowadays who play rock the way it should be played. We need more attitude, more guitar solos and more catchy tunes.
When have you begin to play an instrument / sing?

Make : I was 12-13 year-old-kid when I started playing guitar. Soon I formed few projects where I was the main composer, but at that time I didn’t sing yet.
Who writes lyrics and who writes music? How do you create your songs?

Make : I write almost all the lyrics and, compose the majority of the riffs and melodies. Jukkis arranges the songs and gives composing-ideas also. Usually we jam some new riffs and then get some ideas how to develop them.
How do you get the inspiration?

Make : I get the inspiration from the people around me, from good movies and music, basically from everything.
What are your plans now?

Make : As a band our plans are to release an album…so soon we should hit the studio to record some new songs.
Did you get signed to a record label?

Make : No yet, but we’re searching one with our latest single ‘In The Eye Of The Wind ‘.
Do you have success in Finland?

Make : We’re getting more and more attention from finnish people and media so it looks good and feels exciting.
When your next single will be released?

Make : Few weeks ago we released “In The Eye Of The Wind” single via Spotify, Amazon and iTunes. It’s also available in cd-format. It’s the only single we’ve released and are about to release from our upcoming album.
Have you ever recorded a complete album?

Make : No, this is the first time for us to release an album. We released an EP a year ago.
What are your other passions?

Make : Movie classics like old westerns, film-noirs..and different cultures also.
What are your favorite movies/books?

Make : Movies: Chinatown, Casablanca, The good the bad the ugly, and some 80’s stuff..books: Les Misérables and some Antti Tuuri’s books.
What are your favorite bands/singers?

Make : Bands: Queen, Metallica, old GNR, Hanoi rocks, Beatles..Singers: Freddie Mercury & Elvis.
Why do you want to be known in France?

Make : Well France is the land of love everýbody knows that! hahaha just kidding. But seriously, we want everybody to hear our music and France is cool country!
What do you want to tell to the French people?

Make : If you like good rock ‘n fuckin’ roll with good tunes, exciting solos, exuberant drumming, strong basslines and originality you’ll love us!
What do you want to tell to your french fans?

Make : We would like to thank you all for your work! Remember to spread the word!
