"Let me introduce you to a trio straight from a country where rock reigns ... I am of course talking about ... Finland! Makey is on vocals and guitar, Jukkis on Drums and Jake is on bass. After a first EP released in 2010 entitled "Bulletproof" these Finnish rockers are back with their first album "Kings Of The Underground."
From the start of the first song, the album is very strong. Indeed, from the first notes, we are drawn in with excellent percussions and rhythmic guitar with a catchy chorus that Makey sings with a calm voice. Great songs are confirmed throughout the album. Full of energy, there is an amazing balance between the group, the songs are dynamic with a perfect voice, that is sometimes fairly linear.
All this energy undoubtedly on stage must be very effective. The trio remains sober with similar structures but each one is simply remarkable. Each title is a gem of pure rock done with impeccable mastery.
Roadside Story serves us melodic hard rock with great guitar solos, good strong drumming, supported by a bass that is occasionally very heavy.
Some songs stand out more than others, such as "A Million Voices", "Double-Sized Lies," "In The Eye Of The Wind" and "Temptations & Demons" which is a real killer and definitely my favourite piece. Not to mention the very good "Fool's Paradise", the last track on the album. "In The Eye Of The Wind" was released as a single with the title "Euphoria" in B-side in 2011.
Let your hair loose in the wind, Roadside Story takes you on a journey that is 100% rock n' roll, purely and simply. Finland is definitely the country where Rock reigns, and Roadside Story confirms this! ‘Kings Of The Underground’ is a very nice first album that promises a bright future for Finns. Over all the future of rock n' roll is beautiful and well secured."

"The new Guns’n'Roses are here and coming straight of Finland with a debut album, Kings Of The Underground, worthy successor of an EP released in 2010 and named Bulletproof. Because sincerely, to come across an album that full of dynamite boosted songs becomes rarer than a snowflake in hell, despite the last excellent albums of Europe and Tesla.
This album’s particularity is to leave no room to boredom with a succession of global hits right from the guts of Makey (Vocals/Guitars), Jake (Bass) and Jukkis (Drums). No cheesy ballad, just a series of riffs, each more exciting than the last and a nice voice, fitting and well-pitched, never excessive, Kings Of The Underground surprises by its cohesion, a bit less by its diversity, in so far as the eight songs distinguish more on their catchy choruses than on their structures, but anyhow sobriety is also what make Hard Rock’s atrraction. Who can’t picture themselves listening « A Million Voices », « In The Eye Of The Wind » THE HIT of 2010′s EP and broadcasted on a few European radios, or « Demons & Temptations » while driving a convertible on mountain roads? Rock’n Roll to raise the spirit, it should be difficult to define otherwise the troi’s music.
Not Perfect, in the sense that Makey’s singing, even if pleasant is a bit linear on the lenght, Kings Of The Underground still contains treasures that thrills the senses. A good album, original but not too much, the happy medium between simplicity and flourishing. Check it."
